BATON ROUGE, La. — As Greg Stringfellow began mapping out LSU’s $28-million, state-of-the-art football operations building several years ago, he drew a large circle on a board.
He wrote down every piece of the program, from the coaches and the support staff to the players, equipment managers and trainers. Stringfellow, LSU’s associate athletic director of athletics equipment, is the building manager and one of the primary minds behind that football ops building. His mission was to maximize this massive project.
And in the center of that circle, he wrote Doug Aucoin’s name.
“None of these people can operate without Doug being here first,” Stringfellow said.
